Recently, when Ranbir appeared on cousin Kareena Kapoor Khan’s show ‘What Women Want’, he talked about Raha, Alia and his parenthood experiences so far. When asked how he would rate himself from 1 to 7, with 7 being the highest, being a father rated himself a perfect 7. She was asked about her experience in the labor room and how she felt when she held her daughter for the first time. Ranbir said, “I got the opportunity to hold her the moment she was born after her umbilical cord was cut and that moment will be etched in the prime memory of my life. To see him and Alia together for the first time when Alia caught him.” Close to his neck and chest – that was also a very magical moment for me.”
The actor further revealed that he stayed with Alia in the hospital for a week. “I was very good in the labor room. I took time off work two or three months before her delivery and was in the hospital for a week.” Kareena responded by saying, “I would say you are a lovely husband, Saif would not stay with me even for a night in the hospital.” Ranbir laughed and said, “I don’t think Alia would say that but I consider myself a good husband.”
Ranbir also spoke about his reaction when he learned about Alia’s pregnancy, sharing, “It was ecstatic. There was no other feeling except excitement.” Ranbir also shared that he has had many sleepless nights. “We have had a good amount of help, yet for at least the first two months, we had many sleepless nights because when you have the excitement of your first child and she’s sleeping between us in the bed, you Stay alert too, just a little movement,” shared Ranbir.
On the work front, Ranbir’s film ‘Tu Jhootha Main Makkar’ released on March 8 and is currently holding steady at the box office. The film also stars Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles along with Boney Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia.
