The spokesman said that the WPD elements are involved in four criminal cases relating to promoting enmity between classes, attempt to murder, assault on police personnel and obstructing public servants in the lawful discharge of their duties.
“Case FIR No. 39 dated 24-02-2023 has been registered against WPD elements for attack on Ajnala Police Station,” he added.
He said that all persons involved in criminal offenses would be dealt with in accordance with the law and all persons wanted by the police should submit themselves to the process of law. He said that their constitutional rights to legal defense would be protected.
