Legendary singer passes away at the age of 83

Famous singer Tina Turner has passed away. She was 83 years old.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner,” read a statement on the singer’s Instagram account on Wednesday, May 24, alongside a black-and-white photo of the iconic songstress. “With her music and her boundless passion for life, she charmed millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow. Today we say goodbye to a dear friend, who has left us her greatest work: Her music. All our heartfelt condolences go out to her family. Tina, we will miss you so much.”

Earlier on Wednesday, Turner’s representative issued a statement announcing his death.
