A local court in Islamabad is set to resume hearing the case toshakhana case against Imran Khan, who has avoided arrest despite a prolonged effort by law enforcement personnel to nab him for skipping several previous hearings.

Imran reiterated that the government’s plan to arrest is part of the ‘London plan’ to eliminate all cases against the country’s former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

Meanwhile, according to Reuters, Imran has formed a committee to lead the party in case of arrest.
Khan, 70, who heads the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, is scheduled to appear in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADSJ) Zafar Iqbal to participate in the proceedings on the complaint filed by the Election Commission. Commission on Pakistan (ECP) for allegedly hiding details of gifts in his asset declarations.
Accompanied by a convoy of his party workers, the PTI chief left from his residence in Zaman Park, Lahore and is on his way to Islamabad.
Tight security arrangements have been made outside the judicial complex at G-11 in Islamabad where Imran is expected to arrive.
A large contingent of police has been deployed in the area to protect Khan, who narrowly escaped an assassination attempt in November last year.
