Spotify and Apple Music can be great for music Searchbut they don’t do a good job of telling you more about who You’re listening to. You may know every song on “Don’t Stop Believin'” but if you don’t know what year it came out, you’re going to let your trivia team down. (IT 1981, by the way.)

It gives you more information about the song, album, artist or band you are listening to and goes in something beautiful great details along the way-Including where the song or album was recorded, and the names of all the musicians who worked on any The narrow path

The app listens to songs playing around you, or links to your Apple Music account to pull songs from your playing history, making it super convenient to look up trivia. it packages information in a good Interface, as well.

To give a sample of what you can expect, we looked at Green Day’s song “Holiday” using NowPlaying. Its liner notes include the story of how Green Day had no idea and the masters of an upcoming album were stolen before the band began work on the album. You can also use the app to view the lyrics of any song provided by Genius. This won’t be a new feature for Apple Music users, but at least you don’t need to visit the app to follow along with the singer.

NowPlaying is good with popular artists and albums, but it falls short when you look at obscure ones. The app has plenty of details to keep you hooked, but its database should expand to make it the goldmine of trivia it wants to be. You can download NowPlaying for free. There is a subscription fee of $10/year if you want to access the additional content and remove the ads.
