Anyone can call themselves a “guru”. And the so-called financial gurus are particularly upset about it. Most of the time, their current wealth gives them an air of entitlement about how You can become wealthy when, in fact, it leaves them too far from regular financial woes to be truly useful. As we’ve said before:
What’s more, their advice makes broad assumptions about human behavior that they probably know nothing about. How can you advise someone to always save 10% of their income when their priority is preventing eviction or getting food on the table? Avoid? At best, financial gurus are generic and condescending. At worst, they are pushing misinformation for their own financial gain.”
